The legendary Mount of Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece and particularly closely linked to the history and the legends of the ancient world. The mighty massif rises with its nine peaks with an altitude of over 2600 m.

On our trip to the home of the ancient gods, we will first visit the refuge Stavros at 900 meters above sea level, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Mitikas Peak, the highest point of Mount Olympus (2,917 m). Before us, we can see the more than 70 km long coastline of the Aegean Sea. Our second stop is inĀ  St. Dionysius Monastery, where we visit the church and the small museum with relics. Then it’s time to go on to the small town of Litochoro at the foot of Mount Olympus, which leads to a walk to Enipeya Cave near a picturesque waterfall.

On the way back, we visit the village of Ambelakia on Kissavos River, where we take our lunch in a restaurant with stunning views of Mount Olympus . After lunch we have time for a relaxing stroll through the village and visit the historic residential building by Georgios Black.
