Peace and Quiet

The small village of Milina is located almost at the edge of Pelion`s headland. The picturesque landscape unfolds along the sandy beach, parallel to the coastal road and the village has beautifully maintained its scenic and traditional character. In the past, many craftsmen of wood used to work in this beautiful settlement with thick vegetation, which now has turned into one of the most popular holiday destinations in southern Pelion. In the village you will find many taverns, cafes, restaurants and shopping opportunities. Moreover you will have the chance to visit by boat the small islands of Prassouda and Alatas that lie in close proximity, or even farther the beautiful island of Trikeri.

Milina also features a turbulent and cosmopolitan nightlife and you are advised not to miss witnessing one of the most beautiful Pelion sunsets. Heading south from the city of Volos and after 46km, you come across Horto, one of the most traditional and quiet coastal resorts of Pelion, a village situated deeply in Pelion`s lush and green foothills, in the heart of Pagasetic Gulf. Horto is a small unspoilt village with shady plane and olive trees, ideal for visitors who wish to relax and unwind their thoughts. Its small port and two picturesque beaches is inviting you for relaxing vacations.

Moreover Horto is the ideal starting point to begin exploring Pelion. In the village you will find taverns, cafeterias and super markets and for more entertainment possibilities, you can visit the neighboring village of Milina, only 3km away, offering a larger variety of taverns, shops and a lively atmosphere.
